Ashland is a town located in the Metrowest region of Massachusetts in Middlesex County. The population in July of 2008 was 15,807. Routes 135 and Route 126 go through Ashland. Route 126 over the years has changed from farm area into shopping areas and condos. The town is still mainly residential. Ashland is located nearly halfway between Boston and Worcester, MA. Ashland also allows easy access to the interstate highway and the Mass Pike (Massachusetts Turnpike).
