The town of Holliston, MA is located in Middlesex County and is part of the Metrowest region of Massachusetts. Holliston is the only town that borders Norfolk and Worcester counties. The population in July of 2008 was 13,901. It is a small mainly white collar town and a nice bedroom community known for its old-fashioned Town Center with its Fiske’s General Store, the Superette (famous deli), many antique shops/ boutiques, town hall, public library, and beautiful churches with white steeples. Holliston’s great public school system and large percentage of college-educated adults make a town very well suited for academic success especially for children growing up there. Many homes have that well-known New England character with styles of antique colonial, Victorian, and Greek Revival. There is no public transportation system located in Holliston and the average commute to work is an average of 32.25 minutes daily. The crime in Holliston is much lower than the Masachusetts average and is very low for the Metrowest region.
