Sudbury

Sudbury is a well off and historic community to live in and is located about 20 miles to the west of the city of Boston. It has a small community appeal, but is close to everything that you need. It is within commuting distance to Boston and many other areas.

Much history has its roots in Sudbury including the Longfellow Wayside Inn, which is the oldest operating inn in the country. Sudbury also has the Redstone Schoolhouse, which is rumored to be the schoolhouse in the poem “Mary had a little lamb.” Sudbury also has the Martha Mary Chapel, which is one of the six non-denominational chapels created in the U.S. in tribute to Henry and Clara Ford’s mothers, Martha Bryant and Mary Litogot Ford.

Sudbury is noted for its excellent schools. The town is also noted for its excellent domestic underground water supply, and well organized government. Sudbury is one of the older towns in New England, as it was incorporated in 1639. In July of 2008, Sudbury was reported to have a population of 17,207. The estimated median household income was $145,638 in 2007 compared to $62,365 in the rest of Massachusetts. As far as real estate, according to Trulia.com, the average listing price for a home for the week ending in July 29, 2009 was $1,004,430, which a median sales price of $565,000.

Transportation

Sudbury is located in the Greater Boston Area, which excels in rail, air, and highway facilities. Route 95, also known as Route 128, and Route 495 divide the region. It is easy to reach Logan Airport by means Of The Logan Express Bus in Framingham with convenient parking for your car.

Major Highways
The major highways in Sudbury are Route 20 and Routes 27 and 117.

Rail
Commuter transportation is available to North Station in Boston.

Bus
Sudbury is part of the MBTA, which stands for Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority. Cavalier Coach Corporation also provides commuter service to four Boston
areas. A company called Big W Transportation, Inc. provides service to Boston as well.

There is a small local airport located in Stow, Massachusetts named Minute Man Airport in addition to Logan International Airport.
